Shiv Deepak Rabheru (he/him) is a British Indian Theatre Director based in London, UK.
Shiv most recently Directed I Wish You Well - The Gwyneth Paltrow Ski -Trial Musical at Edinburgh Festival (Underbelly) which transferred to London's West End, Criterion Theatre in 2024.
He is currently the Resident Director of Hamilton at London's Victoria Palace Theatre, West End and Assistant Director of Three Sisters at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
Shiv trained as a dancer from a young age and later as an actor. He has gone on to work extensively in the UK and internationally performing in plays, musicals, television, and film for over a decade. Having always had a passion for storytelling and collaborating with other artists, he then went on to lead an exciting career as a theatre director.
Shiv uses a multi-disciplinary approach when creating worlds, including music, video, physical theatre, dance, magic, and puppetry. He is interested in stories that move and entertain an audience whilst also pushing the boundaries of theatre making. He has been able to flourish when both re-imagining classic stories and devising new work.
Shiv was shortlisted for the RTST Sir Peter Hall Director Award in 2022.
